Our Story began October 2003. We were visiting a Fall Festival and stumbled upon two Alpacas in the fair. Immediately we fell in love. We have over fifty years experience in caring, disciplining and training children. We are school bus drivers!!! Can we do the same with these things called Alpacas!!! Over the next two years we went to seminars and visited as many farms as we could. At each farm we learned something new and different. Alpaca farmers are wonderful, giving and very knowledgeable people. We want to thank each one of them for being a stepping stone to our Alpaca beginning. Well, the barns got painted the fences got mended and we bought the supplies we needed and our journey began.
In June of 2005 we purchases a breeding male, a beautiful gray Huacaya from champion blood lines. Over the next few months we purchases four females, another beautiful white breeding male and two gelded males for our 4-H program.
Then, out of the clear blue sky dropped an opportunity that could only be a blessing in disguise. A heard of twenty Alpacas were looking for a good home. We went running, and fell in love all over again. Today, we have a herd of healthy, registered Suris and Hyacayas. On October 19, 2005 our first Cria was born. What an exciting experience.
We invite you to visit our farm and experience the stress-free lifestyle that we have come to love. We offer agistment (boarding), children's clubs, pets on wheels, an indoor training facility breeding top quality males, known for their fiber and confirmation. Start up business advice and of course a long term relationship, to help your business grow.
Visit our store, which is full of American made products. Try on the apparrel, feel the fiber and yarn. Then look out the window over the pastures and match the Alpaca with the scarf or gloves you are holding. Let us put together a package of love for you.
Love really does come in many colors!!! |
